About this job

Neumiller Harvesting is hiring traveling Harvest Crew Members from its Bowdon base. Operate combines, grain carts, or trucks with a family-run crew harvesting crops across the Midwest. This position involves traveling between farm locations rather than remaining at one North Dakota worksite. What you will do • Operate the combine, grain cart, or truck assigned by the family management team. • Clean and load equipment and prepare trailers and living quarters for moves between harvest locations. • Treat vehicles carefully and keep shared accommodation and personal sleeping areas clean. How the work fits together The Neumiller family began custom combining in North Dakota in 1981 and later expanded its harvest route southward. Roger and Renee's children grew up helping with farm work and became involved as owners and managers. Family members work in equipment operation, mechanical repair, parts, cooking, accommodation, and administration. The business harvests crops such as wheat, corn, soybeans, and canola and also hauls grain commercially. During winter, equipment is taken apart for maintenance so it is ready for the next run. On the road, the owners and hired crew work together to move the harvesting operation from one customer's fields to the next. Specific equipment assignments are made by management. What the employer is looking for • Have a clean driving record and obtain a commercial driver's license; assistance preparing for CDL tests is available. • Pass the employer-paid pre-employment drug test and agree to periodic testing. • Follow vehicle safety rules, including no texting while driving and no alcohol when operating company vehicles. Schedule, conditions, and compensation Shared traveling accommodation is provided, with laundry and kitchen appliances. Moves occur approximately every ten days. Confirm your dates and wage before accepting. The employer states that paydays are the first and fifteenth and that it retains the first paycheck until completion of the agreed season; request the complete written pay terms before committing. How to apply Complete the online harvest-crew application, including dates available, work history, license information, and relevant equipment experience. A printable application can alternatively be mailed to 663 42nd Ave SE, Bowdon, ND 58418.
