Fields of Grace Flower Farm is accepting applications for part-time and full-time seasonal farm hands at its small flower farm in Shiloh, Georgia. This is a paid, hands-on position working directly in the flower beds, around small farm animals, and throughout a visitor-facing property. The farm also operates as a faith-based nonprofit retreat, so the work combines practical horticulture with creating a peaceful, safe, and welcoming place for guests. Flower and garden responsibilities • Plant, weed, harvest, and maintain seasonal flower beds • Water crops and help keep irrigation and watering routines on schedule • Apply compost and assist with other soil-care work • Monitor beds for routine maintenance needs and communicate problems promptly • Keep paths, tools, growing areas, and workspaces orderly and safe • Help the team respond to changing priorities during the busiest parts of the season Animal and property care Farm hands assist with feeding and caring for the farm's small animals. The role requires patient, attentive work around livestock and a willingness to learn established routines. General property tasks are also part of the job, including keeping the grounds clean, presentable, and ready for scheduled visitors. Because this is a small operation, employees should expect to move between flowers, animals, soil work, cleanup, and event preparation rather than remain assigned to one narrow task all day. U-pick days and farm events Fields of Grace welcomes the public for U-pick flower days and occasional on-site activities. Farm hands may prepare flower areas before guests arrive, restock supplies, answer basic questions, help visitors navigate the farm, and reset the property after an event. Applicants should be comfortable interacting respectfully with guests and working alongside a community-centered team. Early mornings, weekends, or some evenings may be needed around harvests and special events. Who the farm is seeking Previous gardening, landscaping, farm, or outdoor-labor experience is helpful but not required. Strong candidates are dependable, punctual, observant, willing to learn, and able to take initiative after receiving direction. You should communicate clearly, contribute positively to a team, and be comfortable with the farm's faith-based mission of providing restorative experiences for women who have experienced trauma and for community caregivers. This is sustained physical work outdoors in Georgia weather.
